As we get closer to the end of the fiscal year, can I create a PO for a purchase that will use funds in the new fiscal year?

Yes. There is a “Next Fiscal Year” flag that you can check, and the funds will not be encumbered until the next fiscal year.

Note: Refer to the End of Year Calendar for guidance. The Accounting Services office or the Purchasing Office may be contacted for further guidance.
